For Teachers and Librarians...
Since I began reading Marceau’s adventures in elementary schools around the U.S. and beyond, I have developed a profound respect for teachers, librarians and principals who make a very tough job look easy. I am impressed with the control and dedication that is apparent on contact. In other words, I love you guys.
My favorite activity these days is to read Marceau’s adventures to students. I first introduce the main character, after which I read one of the stories, followed by a discussion of imagination, writing, and, even a little rhyming.
My first question is always the same: “Does anyone here know what imagination is?” And all the hands shoot up in the air. —Joe Brown
